In this modern time
man is spending all his energy to consume tasty food and then digest it.
Now-a-days no one has time to introspect
why he is eating food at all. In reality the purpose of food is to provide
energy to our body, but today no one cares what kind of stuff gives energy and
what is merely satisfying our taste buds. As food is today being sold as in
market as dish, so people have developed a habit of going for their favorite
dish rather than going to holistic food.
All the ailments exist in the world today has one
reason that is human beings have deserted nature for taste. All those who want
healthy life for them, they must change their food habits positively. In modern
life human beings are using electric devices, refrigerators, coolers and air
conditioners and have got separated from nature. In this arena humans have gone
below even animals. Animals are very specific to their diet. Cattles wouldn’t
choose anything except grass. They understand pitfalls of unnatural food.
However, human beings are spoiling their life to satisfy hunger of taste. In
ancient times when cooking has not started, human beings were enjoying natural
and healthy food.
In fact all vegetables and foods ripens by sunlight.
There is no need to cook this stuff over fire. AS we cook raw vegetables and
fruits, it kills their nutrients and creates harmful bacteria. Tooth decay is clear evidence of our food
being destroyed by cooking. Animals never face dental problems as they consume
natural food. It is the cooked and processed food that is creating dental
problems. Our intestine also fails to completely digest cooked and processed
food. This inefficient digestion causes growth of bacteria and tooth odor.
Great Food (Amrit Ahar)
Any vegetable or food which we consume
without cooking it, is AmritAhar or Great Food. It is best food. This increases
health and age so it is being called as elixir. When we get ill, natural food
helps to cure soul and body. Fresh foods and vegetables have greater content of
sunlight energy. If we consume raw and natural food it helps to increase

Bad Food (Tamsik Ahar)
Tamas means darkness. TamsikAhar means the darkest
or most harmful food for human health. Food which are packed, processed and
stored for long duration as pickle, bread, cold drink, ice cream, fried and
frozen products etc comes under this category. TamsikAhar affects body badly.
Along with many other ailments these foods brings laziness and obesity etc.
Ordinary Food (Rajsik Ahar)
Food prepared with heavy content of spices,
salt, chili powder etc. comes to this category. It bring lust, insomnia,
dissatisfaction jealous and irritating nature.
Postive Food
A food that helps us
to connect with nature is positive food. It nurtures higher qualities empathy,
love and positivity. It also increases creativity and memory power.
1. All
those foods and vegetables which may be consumed directly after plucking from
plants, shrubs etc. have higher content of life power. Cucumber, watermelon etc
comes under this category.
2. Vegetables with green leaves as methi, bathua,
mint, dhania, cholai etc are also great food for body. These are rich in fiber
and hence pure blood and refresh body.
3. All seasonal fruits and dry fruits are also
beneficial for body. Seasonal fruits are rich source of proteins, vitamins and
minerals.
4. To change your food from ordinary cooked food
to Great food, one must tread carefully. Start with half cooked and half boiled
food. After some time one can shift to total raw and uncooked food.
